As with my previous build, this is the second time I've built this kit, but this has a different paint scheme than the first build. I found the NMF option in the kit quite striking, and after my luck with the Hasegawa P-47D, I decided to try the same technique.

That being said, I don't think the NMF turned out quite as well as on the P-47D. In particular, some of the AMMO Flat Aluminum came off with the masking tape when I was painting the yellow on the wing edges and the anti-glare panel. Some of the masking tape I used was regular, home-improvement type masking tape, and that may have been the problem.

I used Tamiya Mark Fit on some of the decals, and Mr. Mark Setter on others. I had to use several applications of Solvaset on the roundels on the wing tops, due to the fact that there is a large hinge under each one. The windscreen and the side windows at the back all went on easily, but I had to sand the canopy to get it to fit. Once I did, I found that I did not have to glue it.

Build completed August, 2021.
